Charmaine Williams

Charmaine Williams was elected as MPP for Brampton Centre and appointed as Associate Minister of Women’s Social and Economic Opportunity in June 2022, becoming the first-ever Black PC cabinet minister.

As Associate Minister of Women’s Social and Economic Opportunity, Charmaine has been particularly focused on increasing women’s participation in the workforce to support their economic security and independence, especially in sectors where they are underrepresented like entrepreneurship, skilled trades, and STEM.

Prior to provincial politics, Charmaine was engaged in municipal politics. In 2018, she ran in her first election and won, serving one term as Brampton City Councillor for Wards 7 & 8.

Charmaine’s beliefs, values, and courage to advocate for others are shaped by her professional and personal experiences. Before entering politics, she had a 19-year career as a certified multisystemic therapist, behavioural consultant, and counsellor, working with organizations such as the Associated Youth Services of Peel, Peel Children’s Centre, and Reach Out Centre for Kids in Halton Region.

Modupe Ehinlaiye

Modupe is a dual-qualified legal professional with a rich and diverse background spanning banking, entrepreneurship, and law. Originally from Nigeria, she moved to Canada in 2006, where she successfully ran an educational franchise before transitioning into family law. As a family lawyer, she became a strong advocate for women navigating separation and divorce. At the peak of her legal career, she served as an Administrative Judge (Member/Adjudicator) with the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada.

In February 2023, Modupe launched Talk with Mo, a show dedicated to harnessing the power of storytelling to inspire and motivate global audiences. She is also the founder of the Bond Awards, a platform that celebrates the achievements of Nigerians in the diaspora. BOND, an acronym for Best of Nigerians in Diaspora, was established to challenge negative perceptions of immigrants by showcasing the positive contributions of Nigerians and fostering pride and unity within their adopted communities.
Modupe holds a bachelor’s degree in law and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University. In addition, she has earned several professional certifications, including the Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) designation and a certificate in Family Mediation.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Modupe is deeply committed to community service. She serves on the boards of multiple nonprofit organizations, and volunteers her time mentoring internationally trained lawyers, couples navigating difficult marriages and parenting.

Modupe’s contributions and impact have been widely recognized through multiple awards. In 2024, she was named one of Canada’s Top 100 Black Women to Watch, alongside other accolades celebrating her leadership, advocacy, and dedication to community empowerment

Aside from being born again and baptized with the Holy Spirit since her preteen years, Tolulope has been laser-focused from a very young age. At the age of 19, she was already winning professionally as a Banker in Nigeria, after which she pursued her MBA (with distinction) in the United Kingdom. She then served as a civil servant for 2 years before retiring from paid employment and relocating to Canada as a full-time entrepreneur before the age of 30.

Her exemplary lifestyle and passion for impact has made her an awardee of different awards, including the Street Church Media 100 Most Influential Youths and the NHN Inspiring women award. Tolulope is married to Pastor Gbemiga Adejumo and they have 2 adorable children.

Alex Koobs

For the past 17 years, Alex has served in various church leadership roles and has a deep passion for mentoring women. She loves walking alongside them as they grow in their relationship with God, encouraging them to live fully in His love and freedom.

Outside of ministry, Alex works as a Registered Nurse. Caring for others comes naturally to her, and she sees her profession as another way to share God’s love with those around her.

Whether at home, in church, or at work, Alex’s heart is to serve, encourage, and point people back to Jesus

Mavis Back

I grew up in a small river town and the first on either side of my family to attend college. Although my parents weren’t Christians, they and my surrounding community believed in God and that we were accountable to Him. Many people along the way dropped bits of Jesus into my life, and I am eternally grateful to them. It was those little bits that eventually led me to become a Christian. Because I was told in college, “there is no god,” and I’m a skeptic by nature, when I became a Christian I wanted to find evidence that the Bible is truly God’s word and to be able to defend my faith. Fortunately, this was not difficult. That was decades ago, and I’m more in love with Jesus than ever! He has been with me on the highest mountains of joy and the deepest pits of despair. He IS faithful!

I work at GE Aerospace near Cincinnati, OH, testing jet engines under development. Over the years, I have been involved in several key projects that have contributed to advancements in aerospace technology. My dedication to quality and innovation has been recognized through various awards and commendations.

Outside of work, I am involved with my church and passionate about community service, volunteering regularly with several organizations. I have a wonderful husband, horses, goats, chickens, dogs, and cats.

Fun Fact: I wanted to be Elly May Clampett from the TV show The Beverly Hillbillies in the 1960s because she loved animals and had all sorts of “critters.” I have had a variety of pets, including a rescued baby groundhog, a crow that followed me to school in the mornings, dogs, cats, rabbits, mice, rats, goats, and many horses. Fortunately for my parents and husband, not all at the same time.

She packed her seven versalia, put her initial into the belt and made herself on the way. When she reached the first hills of the Italic Mountains.

The Big Oxmox advised her not to do so, because there were thousands of bad Commas, devious Semikoli, but the Little Blind Text didn’t listen.
