Back-to-School Prayers for Your Children

A new school year brings fresh beginnings, opportunities for growth, and moments to trust God with the lives of our children. As parents, guardians, and families, one of the greatest gifts we can give our children is to cover them in prayer.

Here are some Bible-based prayers you can declare over your children this school season:

Final Encouragement
As this new school season begins, remember that you are not alone in your parenting journey. God Himself walks with your children.

Speak these prayers daily, declare God’s promises over their lives, and watch Him faithfully guide, protect, and bless them.

Praying Through the Chaos: Finding Peace in the Daily Grind of Motherhood

Although becoming a mother is a great thing, it can often feel like a never-ending blur of activity. The never-ending chores, from nighttime rituals to morning procedures, can easily overwhelm one. But even on the busiest days, there is a way to find serenity in the middle of all this chaos—a way to focus on God.

Prayer is not something we just do in private, peaceful times. It’s a way of life, a constant dialogue with God that can give you courage and serenity all day long.

Here are a few ways you can pray through the chaos:

  1. Short, Deliberate Prayers: When you don’t have time for a lengthy prayer session, don’t panic! You may pray in short, deliberate moments. While you’re cleaning the dishes, folding laundry, or even walking to the car, take a few seconds to thank God, ask for His help, or pray for your children.
  2. Pray for Your Kids: One of the best things a mother can do for her kids is to teach them to pray. Offer up prayers for them, asking God to keep them safe, lead them, and help them become the individuals He intended them to be. You should always do this, even when they seem to be driving you crazy.
  3. Create Quiet Moments: Set aside brief intervals during the day to escape the bustle and reestablish a spiritual connection with God. It might be as easy as taking a quick stroll outside or using the restroom for a few minutes. You can rejuvenate your soul during these times of isolation.
  4. Establish a Prayer Routine for the Family: Prayer can be a lovely family custom. Engaging your kids in prayer, whether it is before meals, before bed, or simply a little morning prayer, helps in building their own relationship with God.

Keep in mind that having a spotless routine or a flawlessly ordered home does not equate to peace. It results from God’s presence in the middle of our daily activities.
